The weather is producing some fantastic light at the moment, I've just been for a walk around the heughs and shore at Dunstanburgh and it was simply beautiful. A few pictures are here.

Deserted farms being tidied up ?

It's a few years since I visited Longhaugh, a ruined farmhouse beside the Coquet near Pauperhaugh. Then it had trees growing through the roof and out of the front door, but it's been tidied up.

Morpeth Walking Festival

Morpeth Walking Festival starts this coming Monday for a week http://brackenleacottage.co.uk/month I wonder if our visitors this coming week will be taking part?

It should be a great week and the walks interesting and varied. You can find out more here - unfortunately their site is not so well made and you'll have to use the menu to find the exact page. ( The link for the programme is also broken at the moment but I have emailed them to let them know so, hopefully, by the time you read this it has been fixed :)
